The 80F sits between the SMB workhorses and the mid-range: common at growing companies and as the branch node in SD-WAN rollouts. Multi-site fleets are where renewal admin hurts most — staggered expiry dates across branches — and where a consolidated renewal quote earns its keep.
The FortiGate 80F renews onto any of the four standard Fortinet bundles, each over a 12, 24 or 36-month term. Every bundle includes FortiCare Premium support and FortiOS firmware access; the security layers stack from there. Part numbers follow Fortinet's FC-10-… licence format — we confirm the exact SKU for your appliance on the quote.
| Bundle | What it keeps active | 12 mo | 24 mo | 36 mo |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FortiCare | Support, advanced hardware replacement, firmware access | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| ATP Bundle | FortiCare + IPS, anti-malware, application control, FortiSandbox Cloud | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| UTP Bundle (most popular) | ATP + web/DNS/video filtering, antispam, IoT detection | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Enterprise | UTP + OT/industrial security and attack-surface management | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
Not sure which layer you actually use? Our ATP vs UTP vs Enterprise guide breaks it down honestly — including when the cheaper bundle is genuinely enough.
FortiGate 80F and 81F, including the Bypass and DSL variants (serials starting FGT80F or FGT81F). Renewals for growing offices, multi-branch businesses and SD-WAN deployments. If your serial starts with something else, don't worry — enter it in the wizard and we'll verify the model against FortiCare automatically.
If the licence has already lapsed, the 80F keeps passing traffic but stops receiving FortiGuard updates — and newer FortiOS releases block firmware upgrades without active FortiCare. Renewals are back-dated to the expiry date under Fortinet's continuous-service rule. Full details: what happens when a FortiGate licence expires.
Yes — add every serial to one request and you'll get a single consolidated quote. We can also align terms so all branches expire together, ending the staggered-renewal problem.
It depends on the bundle and term, and whether you're aligning several units. We quote in rand, VAT included, usually within business hours.
SD-WAN itself is built into FortiOS. What your renewal keeps active is FortiCare support, firmware access and the FortiGuard security services in your chosen bundle.
Serial in — verified rand quote out. Expired licences welcome.
